    July 1, 2013 Canada Day
    Confederation Park/City Hall - The Limestone Mile race starts at 8:30 a.m. March in the the Red and White people parade from Barrie and Princess down to the Park starting at 11a.m. It's followed by a civic ceremony, a sail past, and live music all afternoon and evening in Confederation Park. Fireworks start at 10 p.m.

    Grass Creek Park - Highway 2 (16 km east of the LaSalle Causeway). Activities run from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Bring your family to Grass Creek Park in Kingston East, and celebrate with a variety of family-oriented activities, live entertainment, beach volleyball, etc. DETAILS

    2013 TBA The Kingston Sheep Dog Trials
    Come out and celebrate 25 yrs of sheep dog trials! More than 100 of North America's top trialling teams will participate in the Kingston Sheep Dog Trial, the third largest trial in North America. The trials run from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily and the event also offers a variety of K9 and other animal side attractions, food concessions, a craft and artisans fair, an interactive kids activity area and much more.     August 1000 Islands Poker Run
    1000 Islands Poker Run held in Kingston, Ontario is one of the largest international poker run with more than 50,000 spectators converging in Downtown Kingston! The event begins from Confederation Basin where spectators can come and check out the boats on Friday night and then spend the day on Saturday watching the boats take off, checking out classic car displays and listening to live music in the park. Sunday features the time trials held at Richardson Beach.

    The Festival features four days of the best in blues! Internationally renowned artists descend upon Kingston to hit such venues as The Grand Theatre, scenic waterfront Confederation Park and your favourite Downtown venues.     September 21, 2013 Kingston Dragon Boat Festival
    Dragon boat races were traditionally held in China as a ceremony to bring luck and ward of disaster. Today racers paddle their boats to the beat of large drums, striving to snatch the flag at the end of the course.     Santa Claus is coming to town! Santa will make his way down Princess St. beginning at Bath Rd. starting at 5pm.
